about the author

Alan Haworth is an avid music fan and collector of vinyl records. For his career, he is a financial advisor and lives in Texas, and has also written and published several books. 

 

While living in Boston, Haworth covered the music scene there from 1997-2005 for a number of publications including PitchforkMedia, MusicToday, the Source, and other magazines.

Haworth is the founder and editor of StankyGroove.com, which originally covered live and recorded music, focusing on the indie scene, including bands like the White Stripes, Peaches, Murder City Devils, and Dresden Dolls.

His first Pink Floyd album purchase was "The Wall" in 1987, and the best live concert he ever saw was Roger Waters performance 

of "The Wall" in Austin, Texas.
